Infuser LRTM Vacuum System DT08

The Infuser DT08 RTM Light Vacuum system is designed specifically for your closed molding needs. You will find DT08 dual vacuum pump system capable to supporting 6 or more Large molds in a production LRTM environment.

The design of this system is built on the extremely reliable Becker vacuum pumps, to which we will supply one model U 4.2 wet type high vacuum pump for the flange vacuum to ensure the highest possible clamping force while still allowing for enough capacity to over come leaks that are typical to production tooling in the LRTM process.

The second Becker pump will be the VT 4.40 which is a dry type vacuum pump complete with the adjustable vacuum setting valve to allow for the needed adjustment of the cavity vacuum.

The dual pump design far out performs the alternative to have one vacuum pump, with a separate pump for the clamping flange vacuum, and one for the cavity vacuum, allows for the clamping vacuum to be maintained even if the cavity vacuum is drained from open lines through operator error. Also, each pump is lubricated with a proprietary lubricant which is compatible with the styrene vapors as common to the LRTM process.
Both pumps are mounted on a common steel box tube stand which has a powdered coated finish. In addition to the two each vacuum pumps are dual 20 gallon receiver tanks one for the flange vacuum to aid in quick draw down and to aid in recovery of intermittent leaks, the second for the cavity vacuum.

Also, each vacuum system will have a separate vacuum 4” gauge which is mounted plain view for confirmation of vacuum settings for both the cavity and flange vacuum.

The specifications of each pump are listed below and in addition to the pumps will be a common 3ph motor (either 240 or 480 vac) and a common Start & Stop button.
